Until the doctor enters to begin surgery it is hard to tell how are far the cancer is spread, but it is at this point that the doctor will choose to remove your ovaries and or possibly complete a full hysterectomy. Additionally, if the cancer has spread rapidly some abdomen tissue and pelvic tissue may be removed as well. As if this is not hard enough on the human psyche, hours of intensive chemotherapy and radiation additionally may take a toll on your spirit. This is why it is so important to have the support of faith and family members to help you deal with such a difficult time. If the mind gets defeated the body will quickly follow suit. Thus, you need to always look to a brighter future regardless of how distance it may seem at the time if you wish to fully recover successfully from ovarian cancer. |
