Ovarian Cyst On An Ovary

If you have been suffering severe abdominal pain you may want to see a doctor immediately as you may be suffering from an ovarian cyst on an ovary.  You should not be overly concerned with most ovarian cyst on an ovary presence, because they are usually not cancer and can be simply treated with hormones to control the growth of the ovarian cyst on an ovary.  However, in some cases, the ovarian cyst on an ovary could be cancerous or may have avoided detection until it has grown so large that surgical removal is required to protect your health and future fertility.

It should be noted however, that is you have one of these present as your ovarian cyst on an ovary, you may still feel pain occasionally during menstruation.  There is nothing you can do about them except stay on hormone pills such as birth control to control the ovarian cyst on an ovary.  Sometimes, if they have escaped detection the ovarian cyst on an ovary may have grown too large already and surgical intervention may be required.  Surgical intervention is also required if the ovarian cyst on an ovary is a dermoid cyst and has become inflamed or part of endometriomas and has begun to bleed. 

Traditionally, doctors avoid performing surgery on non-cancerous ovarian cyst on an ovary because in most women the cyst will grow back given enough time.  Therefore, there it is more logical to try and keep the ovarian cyst on an ovary small instead of removing it only to see its reappearance within months.  If you have a ovarian cyst on an ovary most likely you will be placed on birth control pills to control the hormones that stimulate follicle growth which contributes to the growth of an ovarian cyst on an ovary.
